The Lotus and its cars! And the best battery to get the best performance from your Lotus

When it comes to all out sports car there aren’t many manufacturers in the World that can even compete with Lotus. This has been, and still is, one of the best sports car manufacturers thanks to the fact that they only use top notch components as well as very high levels of engineering. Looking at the past, they started out with making Formula one cars and small sports cars for all kinds of people. These cars were pretty down on power but thanks to the fact that they were light you could even outrun much more powerful and expensive cars.

Not many people know that Lotus started its life in the British countryside in the year of 1952. They started making small cars just like the Lotus 7 which was hugely appreciated by people all over the World. Later, in 1958 they managed to get a seat in Formula one. This brought a lot of experience to the company which further developed its cars in order to make them more powerful as well as better to drive. Let’s have a look at the two most known cars of the Lotus brand.

The first one is the well known and much loved Elise. It started its life all the way back in 1996 and when it launched it featured a small 1.8 litre Rover engine. With the help of it the Elise was able to get a maximum speed of around 210 km/h and a stunning acceleration of just under 7 seconds that was possible only because the car was very low on weight. The current model of the Elise on the other hand is a totally different beast. It now features an aluminium chassis with composite bodywork and a more powerful 1.8 litre Toyota. The current model can get to around 250 km/h and has an acceleration of just 5.2 seconds to 100 km/h.

The other model we’ll have a look is the legendary Lotus Esprit. This was a hit and miss kind of a car not because it was not good but because people didn’t know how to love it. The original had a 2 litre aspirated petrol engine and was a back-to-basics kind of car which featured only the things you needed in order to have fun. The car was built up until 2004, year in which it became more of a luxury sports car. This had a 3.5 litre Lotus developed twin turbo V8 that was plenty powerful but not that reliable. This particular car is going to be revived in 2014 with a brand new model that is not going to be a sports car but super car that will compete with cars such as the Ferrari 458 and the Lamborghini Huracan.
As we said before, Lotus has made its name with very light components that were able to deliver both performance and reliability. The Lotus car battery is just such a component. It is usually an enclosed cell that is able to sustain any kind of stress. It only stops working only when the car sits a long time unused, so if this happens you can call us at 1300 468 931, and we’ll do our best in order to find a suitable replacement for your Lotus car battery.
Keep in mind that for using out service and calling our number at 1300 468 931 you don’t need to register on our site. You just have to call as at 1300 468 931 and we’ll do our best in order to resolve your request.

Keero was really helpful over the phone. He asked a couple of questions and we figured out straight away that the problem was most likely a dead battery. Phil was in the area and arrived in less than 40 minutes. Got a new battery and I was back up and running again. Thanks guys.

I just want to thank you for getting to my house so fast. The car didn’t want to start this morning and I needed to get to work. The guy who changed the battery was real friendly and I was able to get to work almost on time (only 12 minutes late).
